Packing up my Life - 7 months later

I really believe in energy and your life sometimes telling you its time to change. I have lived a lot of my life following these signs accompanied by my "gut instinct" and I have turned out ok (I think?).

In 2021, my partner and I were on year 2 of trying to find a house. Our market and spirits were dwindled. Along with work demands life seemed like a constant pressure cooker to the point even getting out and photographing for fun somehow led to stress and anxiety. Energy felt resistant and moving forward felt impossible.. It was time to pivot.

November of 2021 we came to the conclusion we were going to look to build our home base elsewhere.

Now, here is what I mean about energy and life flow - It’s crazy how quickly and “easily” things flow when meant to be. Within a couple WEEKS (I think 2?) of switching our intentions we found a house that fit our needs. Our first house we placed a bid on, out of 10 bids, we were the winners. A quick close left us with 3 weeks to move in the middle of Canadian Winter and off we were. Just like that, life was about to change.

I am so grateful to call the Canadian Rocky Mountains my home. A photographer and hikers paradise - fully aligned with where we want to be in life.

The past 6 months have been incredible artistically. I have created my best work , met incredible people, and feel a sense of peace I have been searching for for years. Now of course, there are always challenges to everything in life - but I felt as if I was watching my life on the outside as things oddly fell into place way too easily.

As I write this I am charging my camera up to do some night photography tonight .

Looking back I have done this quite often in my 20’s…a lot of my moves in life are almost purely off of gut instinct. Moves in housing, career, and life. It's taken me some interesting paths absolutely, but I wouldn't change a thing. I can't wait to show you all what I have been up to!

Im curious- when is the last time you acted on your gut?

Cheers to the journey.
