We watched the weather for weeks. It was December in Vancouver for goodness sake.. not the coldest place in the world by any means, but it was wet and the original idea of Stanley Park wasn’t the way J had initially envisioned it.
So, the pivot was made from Stanley park (with no trees left) to a cool, modern, classy vibe in Gastown.
Although Gastown is a bit of a different scene from Stanley Park, I have shot at both and knew it would also fit them perfectly- especially when it comes to some of her outfit ideas!
We all took to the streets of the area and walked about. Combined with the unique cobblestone road feel, the infamous clock, brick and greenery along the hip stores.
Gastown is in the heart of Vancouver- but even with it being a bit busy, the shoot still felt intimate and about them. People were also super polite and trying to not “get in our way” - So Canadian. If you want a bit of city vibe to your photos with a romantic feel- Gastown is one of my favourite places.. It never gets old for me. It feels so beautiful and put together with a touch of edge that is so unique.
Although the original location changed, we all agreed it turned out for the better!
This mama-to-be is killer, wearing heels around and S kindly helped her with her shoes. It was just the cutest moments in busy Gastown streets. A stylish woman who, like a boss, had a mid-session outfit change in the bathroom of a restaurant.. I am all about it !
7 months in, and they are filled with excitement.
